Christmas

Although I feel like Christmas happened years ago, I don't want it to pass me by. These years are so incredibly magical with the kids. It really is a fun time to live vicariously through our children :)

We had a great morning with the kids. Avery was so excited to see her dollhouse and Colton was happy playing with the bows. After we had our Christmas morning at home, we went to my parents and had brunch there. Usually, we spend the whole day there but this year we decided to come home and have dinner as a family. It was perfect. Would have been better with snow but I guess I need to let that go.

New Year, New Blog

2009 is a year of hope, and tought, yet, promising decisions. Most notably here is the decision to spend less, buy less, and generally consume less. Every penny counts right? So, I've decided to move my blog to a more affordable-free!-site.

Surprisingly, I have found it quite liberating to stop shopping outside of anything considered a "need" (this is a very fluid term which I have often used too liberally.) I am sure that Target's shareholders are scrambling at their losses but I am enjoying a new focus towards the blessings of people, time, and imagination. It is like a diet and I've just started so lets hope I can keep it up!
